A famous musician once said that it is the job of a songwriter to hold a mirror up to society.

Few Nashville writers take this task as seriously as Dan Connors.

“I could never write a song about ‘chilling on a tailgate or drinking moonshine on a dirt road’ because that is not my life. My songs reflect my experiences, how I feel, what I think, and what I know.”

A Philadelphia native who made his way to Nashville in 2013, Connors describes his music as the East Nashville sound - equal parts Country, Alternative, Rock and Roll, and Pop. Drawing on his diverse musical background, Connors matches fuzzed out, three chord songs that sound like they belong on college radio with the soaring steel guitar and Gospel driven pipe organ you would expect to hear at the Grand Ole Opry.

In 2016, Connors teamed up with Producer Joshua Reynolds (Dancing On Tables, Pet Envy, Belle Mt.) to begin working on songs that would become his first EP, “Self-Titled.”

“I love how Dan’s honesty and heart come through in his music,” says Reynolds. “We took some time to find his sound, get the right players in, and create a sonic space that he could speak his truth into.”

When Connors isn’t writing or playing music, he is out of town working at his day job.

“Since 2015 I have toured the world with some of Country Music’s biggest names as a Set Carpenter and Stage Manager. My songs and lyrics reflect many of my experiences on the road, from all over the world. I have loaded in shows everywhere - from The Greek Theatre to The Apollo, Carnegie Hall to Royal Albert Hall. Working and traveling with some of the biggest names in Nashville has been the experience of a lifetime, and it is impossible to calculate how much I have learned and how much it has meant to me. However, after spending the last few years with Josh recording and mixing these songs, I’m ready to step out from behind the stage to center stage.”
